• Her first birth certificate reads Elizabeth Marie Jones, newborn daughter of Carl and Alisha Jones of Charlottesville, Virginia. Her biological parents were drug addicts, on Child Protective Services' radar from the moment Elizabeth was born. It would take two years for them to finally screw up enough for CPS to step in and place Elizabeth in foster care. Luckily enough, Kassie doesn't remember her first years of life as Elizabeth. Though her biological mother would try a few times to fight for custody of her daughter, she could never clean up enough to convince anyone. Eventually Elizabeth would become Kassandra Elise Connolly, an officially member of the only family she's ever known.

• Kassie would grow up an unique mix of tomboy and girlie girl. She was just as rough and tumble as her older brother but still owned her fair share of princess crowns and pink tutus. She would find her interest in ballet after watching Flashdance at the inappropriate age of five, while spending the night at a friend's house. Dance classes and recitals would be the one constant in the young girl's ever changing mind, and after her rejection from Juillard in her senior year, Kassie would settle for her second choice of business school at North Carolina State. Maybe Broadway wasn't in her future, but it didn't stop Kassie from dreaming of her own dance studio someday. Because after all, those who can't, teach.

• Despite being adopted, or maybe because of, family holds high priority in Kassie's life. She grew up close to her parents and siblings, even managing to keep in touch with the various foster kids who called their house home for a short time. No matter how crazy or hectic her life got, Kassie always made sure she had time for her family. The announcement of her parents' divorce was not news Kassie took very gracefully. It is a subject she would rather avoid, much like a petulant child with her fingers in her ears. Though she still loves her father, and even begrudgingly supports his decision, she's quite angry at him for the way he went about things.

• First impressions would say Kassie is quiet and stand-offish, though it's not entirely true. Once she warms up to someone, she's her usual sassy and energetic self. A lot of her life is lived in the moment, going with the flow to enjoy what life has to offer. It's a trait that's not always to her benefit, as she can also be impulsive and impatient. Her romantic life is non-existant as she holds suitors to a certain ideal that they can never quite live up to.

• For all her grand plans for the future, Kassie has gotten a little...stuck since graduating. Her dance studio dream is just a savings account that she puts money into every month, her days are spent working as a dance instructor at CC & Co, trying to teach 2 to 4 year olds how to bumble their way through dance recitals. She lives in a little two bedroom apartment with her best friend since grade school and drives the same car her parents bought her as a graduation present. Glamorous? Not exactly, but it pays the bills and she's happy enough. For now.
